Beautimeter: Harnessing GPT for Assessing Architectural and Urban Beauty based on the 15 Properties of Living Structure
Beautimeter is a new tool powered by generative pre-trained transformer (GPT) technology, designed to evaluate architectural and urban beauty. Rooted in Christopher Alexander's theory of centers, this work builds on the idea that all environments possess, to varying degrees, an innate sense of life. Alexander identified 15 fundamental properties, such as levels of scale and thick boundaries, that characterize living structure, which Beautimeter uses as a basis for its analysis. By integrating GPT's advanced natural language processing capabilities, Beautimeter assesses the extent to which a structure embodies these 15 properties, enabling a nuanced evaluation of architectural and urban aesthetics. Using ChatGPT, the tool helps users generate insights into the perceived beauty and coherence of spaces. We conducted a series of case studies, evaluating images of architectural and urban environments, as well as carpets, paintings, and other artifacts. The results demonstrate Beautimeter's effectiveness in analyzing aesthetic qualities across diverse contexts. Our findings suggest that by leveraging GPT technology, Beautimeter offers architects, urban planners, and designers a powerful tool to create spaces that resonate deeply with people. This paper also explores the implications of such technology for architecture and urban design, highlighting its potential to enhance both the design process and the assessment of built environments. Keywords: Living structure, structural beauty, Christopher Alexander, AI in Design, human centered design

OpenAI Looks for Its iPhone Moment With Custom GPT Chatbot Apps - CNET
OpenAI, the company whose ChatGPT brought AI chatbots to mainstream awareness, said Monday that it'll let you build special-purpose AI apps using its technology. And with a new app store coming that'll let you find or share these GPTs, as the company is calling these customized artificial intelligence tools, OpenAI looks like it's hoping to have something an iPhone moment. You don't need to know how to program to make a new GPT. You have to give it plain-language instructions, upload some of your own knowledge in the form of PDFs, videos or other files, then steer the bot's purpose in a direction like creating images or searching the web. "GPTs are tailored versions of ChatGPT for a specific purpose," OpenAI Chief Executive Sam Altman said at the OpenAI DevDay conference in San Francisco.
A Study on the Performance of Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) in Simulating Depressed Individuals on the Standardized Depressive Symptom Scale
Cai, Sijin, Zhang, Nanfeng, Zhu, Jiaying, Liu, Yanjie, Zhou, Yongjin
Background: Depression is a common mental disorder with societal and economic burden. Current diagnosis relies on self-reports and assessment scales, which have reliability issues. Objective approaches are needed for diagnosing depression. Objective: Evaluate the potential of GPT technology in diagnosing depression. Assess its ability to simulate individuals with depression and investigate the influence of depression scales. Methods: Three depression-related assessment tools (HAMD-17, SDS, GDS-15) were used. Two experiments simulated GPT responses to normal individuals and individuals with depression. Compare GPT's responses with expected results, assess its understanding of depressive symptoms, and performance differences under different conditions. Results: GPT's performance in depression assessment was evaluated. It aligned with scoring criteria for both individuals with depression and normal individuals. Some performance differences were observed based on depression severity. GPT performed better on scales with higher sensitivity. Conclusion: GPT accurately simulates individuals with depression and normal individuals during depression-related assessments. Deviations occur when simulating different degrees of depression, limiting understanding of mild and moderate cases. GPT performs better on scales with higher sensitivity, indicating potential for developing more effective depression scales. GPT has important potential in depression assessment, supporting clinicians and patients.
Unlocking the power of data with Generative AI - The AI Journal
Generative AI has picked up incredible momentum in the last few months. Hype is now becoming reality, with companies of all sizes, in all industries, embracing GPT and other large language models (LLMs) to enhance business operations and customer offerings. We are seeing first-hand how this technology can truly transform organisations, and the relationship between human and machine. At the same time, we are in the defining'decade of data' – a period marked by the fundamental shifts in power created by the intersection of technology and data and the impact this has in every facet of our lives. In today's landscape, a company's data can be two or three times more valuable than the company itself.
Snapchat AI chatbot allegedly gave advice to 13-year-old girl on relationship with 31-year-old man, having sex
Fox News correspondent CB Cotton has the latest on calls for accountability for social media apps after parents say Snapchat helped facilitate drug sales on'Special Report.' A new artificial intelligence created by Snapchat has allegedly offered some dubious advice to what it thought was a 13-year-old girl, detailing, among other things, how to cover up bruises for a meeting with Child Protective Services (CPS) and how to lie to parents about a trip with a 31-year-old man. Tristan Harris, the co-founder of the Center for Humane Technology, recently posted a Twitter thread highlighting an exchange between colleague Aza Raskin and the new chatbot "My AI." Raskin, who set up the Snapchat account posing as a 13-year-old girl, told the chatbot she had met someone 18 years older than her but conveyed she felt "very comfortable with him." "It's great to hear that you feel comfortable," the chatbot responded, later suggesting the user remain "safe" and "cautious." After revealing that the trip would coincide with her thirteenth birthday, Raskin said she was thinking about having sex for the first time.

Snapchat has released its own AI. Is it just a Chat-GPT rip-off or…
Snapchat, the popular social network has joined the artificial intelligence (AI) bandwagon by launching a new chatbot named "My AI." The company announced that it has customized the latest version of OpenAI's GPT technology for its users. The new chatbot will be an experimental feature for Snapchat, the social network's subscription service, which costs $3.99 per month. According to Snapchat, My AI is designed to help answer trivia questions, plan a hiking trip, recommend a recipe for dinner, or write a haiku about cheese for your cheddar-obsessed friend. The chatbot has been trained to have a unique voice and personality that aligns with its values of "friendship, learning, and fun."
Snapchat launches an AI chatbot powered by OpenAI's GPT technology
Snapchat is the latest company to get in on the AI frenzy. The company announced today that it's launching "My AI," a new chatbot running the latest version of OpenAI's GPT technology that it has customized for its users. My AI is now available as an experimental feature for Snapchat, the social network's $3.99 a month subscription service. The new chatbot will be pinned to the top of the Chat tab. My AI can do things like help answer a trivia question or write a haiku.

With the trend of chatGPT there have been a lot of questions we have been asking ourselves like what is openAI,chatGPT alternatives among those questions and topic here is another topic worth discussing what on earth is a GPT? lets dive deep GPT, or Generative Pre-training Transformer, is a type of artificial intelligence (AI) technology that has revolutionized the field of natural language processing (NLP). Natural language processing (NLP) refers to the branch of computer science -- and more specifically, the branch of artificial intelligence or AI -- concerned with giving computers the ability to understand text and spoken words in much the same way human beings can . GPT has become widely used in a variety of applications, from language translation to text generation to language understanding it was developed by openAI . There are several types of GPT systems, including GPT-1, GPT-2, and GPT-3. These systems are distinguished by the size of their training data sets and the complexity of their models obviously.
